Moved to Seattle (Bellevue) in the end of 2015. Over the paste 2.5 years heard the following:
1. Gunman on foot! Last spot on 148th Avenue Bellevue. That’s where I live. Alert by police stay safe at home. 😧
2. In a neighboring apartments, robbery. Someone broke into an apartment and stole gold.
3. In the apartments I stayed, a car was stolen. Police found car in couple weeks. But WTH.
4. Shootout after new president was elected - TRUMP
5. Shootout in Burlington (Dad called me saying be aware)
6. In the local newspaper and news channel- Indian gold necklaces being robbed. Police not able to find them. Asking people not to wear or come out.
7. A friend’s necklace was robbed at a store near the mall / police department within the mall complex. CCTV footage not clear. Seems like the guy was following her for a while and planned well with a car waiting outside for him and they fled away. That was the most creepiest and scariest story of all.
One in every 7 are in danger? It is so unsafe?
Yes Indians have gold in their homes and wear them daily. And we have outgrown the city. And being watched upon. It’s tough for the police to trace down the gold. Since they are of different sizes and shapes. And gold can be melted down in no time. People please keep your belonging safe. This is crazy. There’s CCTV’s, 911, and still we are here with no safety.
